The Edsel was doomed from the start with it’s epitaph written almost on the day it was released in September of 1957 so I’ve always wondered why Ford even went through production of the 1960 Edsel that was basically a rebadged Fairlane. That said, I’ve always loved the 1960 Ford so the 1960 Edsels with their rarity and quirkiness have always appealed to me. With the plug pulled just 44 days into production, 1960 Edsels are very rare but with just 275 wagons produced and only a handful that could possibly remain, this is one wagon you seldom come across.
Out of a 48 year indoor storage, this Villager wagon is listed on Hemmings in Westminster, Maryland for $23,500 but the seller is open to negotiate.
