Pretty in Pink: 1960 Mercury Commuter
These are rare cars and to find a California black plate survivor with the original Summer Rose paint makes this a special find. Found on Ebay, the owner states that with the exception of having the seat inserts and front upholstery redone everything is original and in working order. This car would be perfect as is or an easy restoration to top condition.

Rare Find: 1955 Studebaker Conestoga Champion Wagon
2 Door wagons can’t be beat and a rare 1955 Studebaker is a sight to behold. This restored beauty just came out of a 3 year restoration and comes equipped with 185 cubic inch Victory 6 cylinder engine, 3 speed manual transmission, color keyed factory wheels with 6.70-15 BF Goodrich Silver Town wide white wall tires, full factory wheel discs, correct fishtail exhaust tip, fully detailed undercarriage, front windshield visor, chrome and gold a plated hood ornament, and correct original exterior colors of Coral and White. Minty Fresh: 1963 Volkswagen Transporter
Who knew in 1963 that these Transporters in just a few years would be the ubiquitous choice of transportation for flower children everywhere. Here we have pristine restoration of a 15 window Transporter decked out with a two-tone green and white exterior and a mint green interior. Everything has been either replaced or restored. California Special: 1969 Volkswagen Squareback
Here at SWF we love original wagons especially black plate California cars with loads of documentation. Found on Ebay this 1969 VW Sqaureback Wagon has a very reasonable buy it now price of $4,900. A 3 owner car with just over 100,000 miles, it comes with a binder full of documentation begining with the original bill of sale from “Dave Rasmussen Volkswagen”. The car did have a repaint in the 80’s after a front end accident, but the paint still looks great and the car drives very straight. At $4,900 it seems like a perfect weekend cruiser to us.
