If you had to name the colors that most represent the 70′s, gold and avocado green would be at the top of everyone’s list. Cars in deeper greens were everywhere and this ‘Harvest Gold’ Dodge Coronet represents the golden hues of the 70′s superbly. A one owner car for its first 38 years, this 53,000 mile lovingly maintained wagon can be found on Craigslist near Tacoma, Washington for $6,850.
I’ve always loved the long decks, blunt front ends and the recessed grills of the full size Mopars of the era. Not such a fan of the 5 mph bumpers but then again maybe its helped keep the car protected all these years. The seller believes the paint is 90% original and it shows well in pictures. A close look reveals some normal small dents and dings, most notably on the tailgate. There are also some NOS trim pieced included with the car. The wood applique is showing some wear and fade after 44 years. The car has been lowered 2.5″ in the front and 2″ in the rear giving it a nice stance.
If you didn’t get enough gold on the outside come on in and immerse yourself in golden goodness! Everything on the inside looks to be in great shape with the exception of the missing backs on the front seat. You almost wonder if those were taken out one day to get that extra inch of space needed to fit a load and then forgotten about. There are also tears in the front seat on the drivers side but the rest of the seat vinyl and door panels look fantastic.
